Adding and updating places

Your knowledge is invaluable so get involved! Add new places and help improve or update the ones already on our map.

To add a new place to the map, you

1. Click on the Add Marker button

2. Choose the Add a new place marker option

3. Drag the map to position the marker where you want to add the new place and confirm its location.

4. Complete the form with details of the place:

   • Select the correct marker type (map legend)
   • Add a short description of the place
   • Check any relevant checkboxes
   • Add contact info where appropriate

5. When you’re done, press the Add (if using the app) or Save place (when using the website) button to add the new place to the map.

If you notice a place has incorrect information, or can be improved, help others by updating it:

1. Open the place page

2. Choose Contribute -> Update information

3. Make changes to the information.

4. Press the Save button and your changes will be published.

If someone has added a marker in the wrong location, you can help by moving it to the right spot:

1. Open the place page

2. Choose Contribute -> Move map marker

3. Drag the map to correct the marker’s position.

4. Press the button to confirm the new location.
