Changing or deleting your boat

If you already have a boat on noforeignland, and you’ve bought a new boat and want to show it on the noforeignland map, you have the following options:

• If you want to keep your existing track and the stories on it, then keep the same boat page and change it to show your new boat’s name.
• If you prefer to start from scratch with the new boat, then you can delete your boat page and register a new one.
• If you want to maintain separate pages for your old and new boats, then (as we only support one boat per user account) you should create a new user account to register it under. You can then switch accounts to manage each boat.

Each of these options has its pros and cons. Most people choose the first option and simply change their boat’s name, as it prevents losing your journey track.

To change your boat’s name:

1. Open your boat page
2. Click on the Settings button.
3. Select the Boat details option.
4. Update the Boat name fields.
5. Press Save

In order to delete your boat:

1. From the main menu choose the Settings button.
2. Scroll down to the Account deletion section.
3. Choose the option to delete your boat.
4. Complete the form and check your email for a confirmation pin.
5. Enter the pin and choose Permanently delete my boat.
