East of Antalya
Last updated: 12 April 2026
Overview
The area east of Antalya stretches east along the Turkish Mediterranean coast, taking in a long and largely undeveloped coastline backed by the Taurus Mountains. The coast beyond Antalya sees relatively little yacht traffic.
Attractions
In Antalya city, Kaleiçi, the old quarter above the harbour, contains the main points of interest within walking distance. Hadrian's Gate, a triple-arched triumphal arch built in 130 AD, marks the landward entrance to the district. The Hıdırlık Tower on the seaward edge overlooks the harbour entrance, while the 13th-century Yivli Minare is the most visible landmark from the water.
Notes for mariners
Winds on this stretch are generally lighter than those to the west. Yacht services are available in Antalya but largely absent further east.
