Saline Bay is the main anchorage for Mayreau. Cruise ships stop here and ferry their customers ashore for a beach picnic.
Warning: if arriving from the north look for the marker at Grand Colonel Point and give the reefs a wide berth to port.
Anchor: 3-5 m sand; good holding. Stay away from the ferry channel to the concrete pier.
Ashore: a small village store and numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. You can buy fresh bread in the morning from the boat-baker and also others boats selling fruit and fish/lobster.
Don't miss: it is worth going ashore and to visit the island. Snorkel on the wreck is off Grand Col Point just about 3 m under water.
