Country: Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Description
The island is named after the frigate, a bird known for its wingspan of two meters, which can be seen fishing off the island. This anchorage is well protected from the prevailing easterly trades and easterly swells. Cruisers report the anchorage to be safe in winds from ESE and ENE of 40+ kts. Ashton is a small, friendly town. The seabed is rich with large urchins, giant red mound starfish and sea turtles graze the seagrass.
Anchor: on sand for excellent holding
Ashore: catch a bus to the airport to check in/out. You have to walk from the fisherman pier to the crossroads. Be sure to tell the driver to come back for you. Near Ashton.

Offers protection from wind directions
