Astros is a pretty fishing town set at the bottom of a castle on a hill. Well worth walking up to the castle (20 minute walk); follow the road winding up the hill behind Remezzo. Great views from the top.
Moor: the harbour is easily spotted by the castle set high on the hill. Often there is quite a bit of south east swell on the approach, so it is best to leave sorting out fenders and lines until you get into the harbour. Moor stern or bows-to on the quay, and in peak season a few boats may have to be rafted off from the quay.
Ashore: quite a few tavernas and restaurants. It is possible to get most supplies - head towards the main road that runs parallel to the beach where you will find mini markets, green grocers, a bakery, pharmacy and a bank.
Water: is available on the quay from a small old local man who doesn't speak a word of English!

Water and electricity is 5 euros total. The mooring is the official price but you pay 2 days if you stay 1 night, 3 days if you stay 2 nights and so on. For one night we paid 17.5 euros for our 40 ft including water and electricity. Only 4 boats here on May 2019, but in the peak season it gets full.
