Facilities for berth holders

This is a very well protected bay with spectacular surroundings. Poor holding in pilot book but the 2 tavernas have installed buoys bay on the north side of the island.
Mooring buoys: pick a free mooring close to one of the beach restaurants.
Ashore: tavernas and not much else. There is a veggie truck that comes in the afternoon and evening and Kostas sells bread. A couple of the homes also sell their own produce, honey, figs eggs etc.

Picked up a Captain Kostas buoy here to sit out a Meltemi. We are told they are well maintained and serviced annually.  We had some help to moor to it. It was a massive buoy. Bullets come down over the hills and we had gusts of over 40s on the water (spindrift) but reading less at the top of the mast. Anyway the buoy held us well although it did spin around overnight and caused our lines to twist back on themselves. Food at and service at Captain Kostas was very good.
