Porto Heli (also known as Porto Cheli, Porto Kheli, Lake Cheliou) is a well-protected port in a wide, approximately circular bay on the north-eastern coast of the Argolic Gulf. Porto Heli is a tourist centre. There are numerous hotels and tourist facilities. Along the entrance are some villas, some with striking architecture.
The entrance is located 2 MN north of the Ns. Spetsai. There are beacons on both sides of the port. The foremost part of the pier, directly at the church, is reserved for ferries and trip boats, here you can only spend a few minutes.
Anchor: in the wide bay in 6 to 3 m on silt. The quietest one is anchored in the south of the bay, but you have to go a long way with the dinghy to town. The water in the bay is cloudy, the anchorage of vegetated silt.
Ashore: the supplies are excellent due to the tourism infrastructure. There are several provisions and shops, a marine shop with shipyard, also repairs, as well as several hotels and apartment houses. In the town itself as well as in the north east of the bay some tavernas, bars and discos. Fuel and water are available by tanker from the gas station near the shipyard.
