A ridge of rocks spans the entire width of this section of the creek. The area is easily identified as it widens for a short distance around the shallow area.
The RCC pilot book incorrectly states that the minimum depth here is 2.8 meters, the actual depth we measured with a lead line at spring low tide was less than 1.8 meters.
When approaching from the west, the bottom comes up extremely quickly, and there's a risk your sounder won't have time to show insufficient depth. Approach as slowly as you can and be aware of the direction in which the current is taking you.
