Tejeda is a lovely hill village with a handsome church and steep, winding streets lined with balconied houses. Whichever route you take to get here, you drive through stuning rugged scenery of looming cliffs and deep gorges. The town is simply gorgeous in February when the almond trees are blossoming. A fiesta celebrates all things almondy once the trees have bloomed.

Absolutely fantastic place on earth. Time stands still and you can really find peace, if that's what you're looking for If you forgot to book a room for the night (you probably want to stay the night, it's to beautiful), do not fret. A really old lady runs a hostel in the "main street" not far from the local bakery. Ring the door bell, wait for a couple of minutes and she'll open. She is slow but lovely.
