The bay is most picturesque with fine views of the volcano & smoking fumerols. It’s a popular anchorage and depth is mainly 7/8 metres on what I presume to be black volcanic sand. The holding is variable. When we arrive a boat said 3 yachts had dragged their anchors. Indeed so did ours in almost no wind at 03:30 hrs. There is an uncharted shoul patch in the NW corner with depths <1.5 metres although sand. The beach shelves some little way out & insufficient for outboard motors. There is a floating pontoon for shore access an a restaurant, short walk in to town.
