Avoid the harbour in high winds and definitely if a Meltemi is forecast. The anchorage NW of the harbour is very well protected as an alternative and better choice in high winds.
Anchor: Near the harbour of Naousa on the south of the big bay in 15 ft. over sand and some small rocks.
Ashore: This is a very convenient spot to leave your boat and take a ferry to Santorini. We took a one day trip to Santorini that included a guide and coach (55.00 Euro/person). The town of Naousa is worth seeing especially at night with many restaurants and bars catering for all prices.

Last year we passed through the bay entrance but we followed to Naxos as north winds were forecasted. This year we have been here 3 nights in the end of May. First night on anchor on the NW Cove. The following 2 nights on the marina. I have no experience with winds from North and being in the marina. The marina gets full by midday. We paid 10 euros per night including water and electricity. At about 10 am and 5 pm a "cruising ferry" enters the port and create waves. It could destroy our gangway if I was not fast to pull it up. Actually these are 2 cruising boats that operate from Naxos. They alternate. One day they go to Santorini stopping on the South of the Paros Island. In the following day they go to Mikonos, stopping here to get more tourists. Last here we visited Santorini from Naxos in one of these ferries. If you want to visit Santorini from Paros you should go to the other side of the island. The bay and the village are great. We think they the best of Paros.
