Facilities for berth holders

Description

This is Gozo’s main harbour for the ferry service between the two islands. Very picturesque.
Moor: stern to moorings on fully serviced floating pontoons in the Marina. Good shelter but in strong Southerlies may have some swell in the harbour. Swell from strong NE and E winds can make some berths uncomfortable.

Email: info@gozomarina.net
VHF: Ch 13
Ashore: restaurants and bars and a supermarket nearby. At the ferry dock you can catch a hop-on-hop-off bus to see the island or take a regular bus to Victoria/Rabat for sightseeing.
Check in: Customs is open 24 hrs, although police may not be available out of business hours. Would be easy to anchor off and take the dinghy in to do check in.

Arrived around 7pm and used the marina for 1 night. Very helpful friendly staff. Euro96 for our 44' cat. Swell and noise from ferry did not bother us too much as we were pretty knackered after the crossing, which included a steering failure.

We were arriving from Tunisia so needed to check in. Customs is open 24hrs and the guy was very helpful. Police/passport check did not happen until the next day and they did not stamp us into EU (Australian passports). Make sure you get a copy of your arrival documents, or a reference number, to show on check out. We did not (checked out in Valetta) but the guy from Gozo was there and remembered me.

Easy entry and friendly staff. Very busy harbor so lots of wake from very early morning to late. We paid 55 euro for our 14 m yacht.

We found the check in part of the port to be straight forward, and you can contact the marina and request to come alongside for free for the purposes of checking in or out.

Echo previous reviews- hired a diver at €35 for an hour - very reasonable and good.
