A comfortable eco-resort on the river. The owners, Kit and Gem Nascimento have been pioneers in the opening of the Bartica area to yachties. They are a helpful contact for repairs and services.

Anchor: off the resort in 5m, good holding. It is possible for a shoal draught boat to tie up to the pilings at the end of the jetty (1.2m water at low tide), however, you still needed a dinghy to reach the jetty (5 m).
Land your dinghy on the floating pontoon.
Ashore: a small daily charge ($6 in 2014) for use of the resort facilities including showers, toilets, and hammocks. The resort has a bar, and meals can be prepared for cruisers with advance notice. Ice, laundry service, garbage disposal, fuel, trip to Bartica for supplies, internet access, receiving emergency items packages from overseas and caretaking boat when you are away. The early morning jungle walk is interesting.
Other services: organise water-based activities, jungle walks, sunset visit to parrot island; trips to historic Fort Kyk-Over-Al and Baracara falls; visits to stone quarry and gold mining camps. Also arrange trips and tours to all interior locations, visits to Kaieteur and Orinduik Falls and trips to Georgetown, inclusive of booking hotel accommodation.
