Facilities for berth holders
Anchor: in 10 to 15 ft. over sand close to the beach, anchor further out as the ferries leave a massive wash and will get uncomfortable. This is a very well protected anchorage.
Warning: you will need an anchor for the dingy to keep it away from the rough concrete wall.
Ashore: the town offers plenty of provisioning and you can get boat parts shipped in over night through any of the small chandleries in town. There is also a good fish market at the waterfront as you walk along towards the east.
Don't miss: a few small villages inland worth visiting; go to tourist office (in front of the ferry dock) for more information and bus schedules.

Naxos is a great island. Last year we were three in May almost 2 weeks waiting for an early meltemi to calm down. This year we just spend one night in the marina. We use to telephone in advance to Nicholas (the harbourmaster) to check if a place is available. We paid 14 euros for our 40 ft including water and electricity. Attention - have your gangway always in the upper position or the swell caused by the ferries can destroy it.
