Moor: large bay, open to SW with 2 ports.
In the south, the port of Posidonia is a military restricted area, but you can anchor to the east of the mole and is very good for south winds. No supplies.
The port of Phoinikos in NE (recommended during Meltemi), The port of Phoinikos offers, the water depth is nearly 3 to 4 meters. The best place for the Meltemi is on the south side of the mole. The northern pier is occupied by the fishermen. Phoinikos is one of the few ports in Greece where systematic fees are collected. For a 46 ft. boat paid in October 2006 Euro 2.03.But there are also showers and toilet facilities right next to the harbour office. Electricity and (at a charge) drinking water are available directly at the pier.
Anchor: the ground is partially overgrown weed and sand with stones and holds well.
Ashore: There is a petrol station which supplies fuel by tanker, some excellent taverns, a supermarket and a bakery on the road to Ermoupolis.
