The quiet town that claims to be the warmest place on the island. Puerto de Tazacorte is the fishing port with a long promenade, a black sand beach, narrow streets lined with colourful old houses with many bars and seafood restaurants.
beware of the fish farms to the NW of the entrance of the harbour.
the harbour is protected by a large, new breakwater making the entrance much safer, even with a westerly swell. The marina located in the harbour. On arrival, report to the port office.

Tazacorte village is about 1km away, and is the main centre with a town hall, post office, shops and supermarket.
